Oracle America, Inc. has openings for Senior Internet Sales Consultants in Burlington, MA. Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying technologies and applications to client business. Facilitate customer product/application understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the full sales lifecylce. Responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Some travel may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree, or equivalent , in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a Sales Consultant -related occupation. Experience must include:
1. Pre and Post Sales experience for Power Systems and High end storage to support Oracle Database and Application stacks, as well as IBM DB2 and WebSphere;
2. High Availability implementations for large accounts, including Banks, Telecom and retail industries;
3. Experience with virtualization and fault tolerant deployments on both Open and x86 systems, including System P Sun and VMware/Xen;
4. Red Hat Linux, Solaris, and AIX support;
5. Design and implementation of monitoring tools and management tools;
6. Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture implementation and design, application tuning, and development tools, including JAVA, SOAP, and Web Services;
7. RDBMS implementation and administration expertise, Management, and PL/SQL proficiency;
8. Implementation, upgrade deployment, and support of Verizons ticketing system ETMS and supporting Oracle Database Servers, including Data marts and Data warehouses, and Oracle DB Version 9i and 10g;
9. Experience with Linux on Power, Microsoft Windows and Unix, including AIX Solaris and AS/400;
10. Power Virtualization, tuning, and support;
11. High-end storage implementation and support for the banking industry;
12. Oracle Database, Fusion Middleware, OBIEE and Engineered Systems, including Exadata, Exalogic, and ODA, and Fusion Middleware, including Weblogic, SOA, and BPM, Product expertise; and
13. Big Data solutions, including NoSQL, Cloudera Hadoop, Big Data Appliance, and Integration Solutions, including Oracle Data Integrator and Goldengate.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
Some travel may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
