Job Duties:
- Providing Fraud Consulting to enhance and support the deployment of fraud prevention solutions;
- Performing data and quality analysis, including data mapping reviews, data validation, remediation, alert validation and issue impact analysis;
- Working on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements;
- Serving as a liaison between clients business owners and IT department.
- Researching and documenting client needs, technology, or regulations related to system design, enhancement, acquiring hardware or software that will impact multiple platforms and/or applications;
- Defining product scope, objectives and requirements, and defining specifications and data models for product development and testing;
- Creating detailed specifications from which programs will be written;
- Analyzing marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services, etc.;
- Analyzing system impacts to other systems and procedures;
- Devising and/or modifying processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and to solve complex technical problems related to computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results;
- Assessing available technologies and recommending solutions to consulting team;
- Writing test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and that application integrity is maintained;
- Conducting system, integration, readiness, and acceptance testing using client data to be certain client needs will be met;
- Influencing clients, business partners and service providers regarding priorities and hardware/software selection;
- Training client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures.
- Performing data mining on medium-large data sets to discover suspicious patterns and normal behavior and developing statistical models to alert on suspicious abnormal activities for preventing banking fraud;
- Building/Maintaining reports, dashboards and metrics to monitor performance of the FIS Fraud detection suite.
Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science and 2 or more years of experience in job offered or as a Systems Analyst or Software Engineer;
- Experience or coursework in data mining, statistical analysis and shell and batch scripting;
- Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles, including Agile and Waterfall;
- Experience with object-oriented development using UMLet and Visual Studio;
- Experience with ETL and 3-tier web application architecture; and
- Experience with XML , C# and Java.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
