Senior Manager, Corporate Events - B2B Tech Company

The Senior Manager of Corporate Events will be responsible for developing and implementing a marketing plan for their major conference, including awareness and promotion campaigns, agenda and content development, audience acquisition, internal and external communications, online presence, sponsorships, and special programs. To be successful, this individual will work well in a highly matrix organization and be comfortable working with the senior executive team, field leadership, sales, marketing, product teams and IS. Significant experience leading complex projects, digital marketing, developing conferences and other relevant disciplines required.
Work closely with executive and field leadership, internal teams, and external vendors to define corporate program goals, objectives and initiatives that meet the requirements and expectations of the leadership team
Create and execute company's corporate event marketing strategy including company meetings, user group meetings, and other corporate programs
Lead and direct internal staff, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to successfully manage effective planning and execution of corporate events and track success metrics
Develop content structure and agenda for their major conference, working collaboratively with Marketing, Product Management, and other functional leaders
Work collaboratively with multiple key stakeholders to plan and develop digital marketing campaigns that support key projects
Ensure that the branding and messaging in marketing materials is optimized across multiple channels and consistent with strategic objectives
In collaboration with Programs and Communications teams, develop audience acquisition plans and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance to the global conference
Provide cross functional leadership and ongoing cooperation with digital marketing, and IS, to oversee program elements including registration, event website and agenda builder, mobile apps and other Web-based vehicles in support of branding and lead generation goals
Working closely with creative teams, represent and execute service excellence that is streamlined with branding standards, look and feel, presentation templates and imagery for all corporate projects
Provide expertise and oversight on marketing trends, tools, and processes to evolve the company's programs and events
Prepare and manage program budgets and meet budget requirements through strategic recommendations, operational efficiencies and vendor contract negotiations
Work with direct reports and cross functional teams to roll up feedback surveys and results
Manage relationships with existing vendors and source new vendors as necessary
BA/BS in business or equivalent
8 - 10 years of marketing in high tech or related industry
Digital marketing, project management and event experience a must
Experience managing direct reports
Ability to develop relationships and interact with all levels of management, including field leadership and external vendors, to deliver reliable, consistent, effective communications and results
Excellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally, to internal and external stakeholders
Ability to lead, influence and coordinate efforts of other staff members in support of program execution
Proven team management abilities, including on boarding, development, and guidance of direct reports
Ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and fluid environment
Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
Must be able to manage multiple projects while working in a fast paced environment under intense deadlines.
Proven negotiation skills and experience managing large vendor relationships
Demonstrated experience with event management software applications (ex: CVENT, RegOnline), mobile apps (ex: EventMobi, SpotMe)
Ability to prepare accurate budgets and expense management
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and deliver high quality results
Positive attitude, enthusiastic and highly motivated
Ability to travel (20%)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be willing to be in the office daily; This is not a "work from home" position

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
