Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client - a well known and rapidly growing manufacturing business - are looking for an AP Specialist to join the team. This is a newly created role due to the company growing.

Description


The role will involve:


  • Processing accounts payable
  • Generating weekly payables register and processing/printing payables check
  • Working with vendors and internal purchaser to resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Reconciling AP general ledger accounts and generating AP reports
  • Calculating, reporting and paying state sales tax
  • Filing paid invoices
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Treating others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect at all times

Profile


The candidate will have:


  • Associates degree or equivalent, four year college preferred
  • Two years related experience; four years desirable or combination of experience and education
  • Computer Skills with knowledge of accounting software (Microsoft D365 preferred)
  • Knowledge of Concur Expense reporting
  • Strong Excel skills

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
