My client is a mid-sized General Contractor located North of Boston, with their headquarters in Burlington, MA.
They have a local Massachusetts office with a range of projects across the Greater Boston area, Metrowest, and North shore.
Founded in 1977, they have become experts in the Multifamily, Academic, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, and Commercial industries, with projects ranging from $20M - $40M.
They have consistently produced an annual revenue of $250M+
per year and have a strong pipeline of projects throughout the upcoming year.

Description

The Project Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Oversee and provide guidance on projects to junior Assistant Project Managers and staff.
  • Work with superintendents and foremen to plan, organize and direct activities related to construction projects.
  • Lead and/or assist with estimating potential projects
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • Communicate with Superintendents to ensure job schedule and project is on track
  • Monitor and control projects through administrative direction
  • Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the customer.

Profile

The Project Manager Candidate will possess the following skills

  • 7 - 10 years in the Construction Industry
  • Experience with Higher Education and Academic projects, with a project value of at least $20M
  • Monitor and control projects through administrative direction
  • Established relations with subcontractors
  • Experience with Procore
  • Experience in both renovation and ground up building
  • Variety of project experience preferred
  • BA in construction related field
  • Strong communication skills and organizational skills
