Assistant Director of Housekeeping

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join our team.
As the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, you will work closely with the Director of Housekeeping to oversee and manage the housekeeping operations of our facility.
You will be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards, supervising housekeeping staff, and ensuring efficient operations within the department.
This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Housekeeping in planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department.
Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and providing guidance to ensure exceptional performance.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility, including guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house areas.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleaning procedures and standards.
Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
Assist in managing the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate stock level is maintained.
Assist in developing and implementing efficient cleaning procedures and best practices to optimize productivity and service quality.
Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services and take appropriate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations to provide a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
Assist in the preparation of department budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies to improve efficiency and stay ahead of competition.
Assist in conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and identifying training needs for staff development.
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the housekeeping department of a hospitality establishment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
Excellent knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and guests.
Proficiency in using housekeeping software or management systems is a plus.
Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
