Black & Veatch is seeking a highly motivated person to function as an Engineering Manager for assigned clients and in this role establish and/or maintain relationships with our existing and prospective clients and provide oversight of projects and engineering managers. This person will work collaboratively with our Boston and Northeast civil engineering team, our regional business leaders and Black & Veatch's technical business lines supporting overall strategy and growth. Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. Under general direction, develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineering problems. May provide technical guidance over a group or supervise engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity. May be responsible for developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output. Focuses on aspects of water distribution and wastewater collection systems outside of treatment facilities but may also lead or contribute to treatment facility projects. Responsible for planning, design, and construction phase services for municipal/public water distribution and wastewater collection systems including:
Leads studies, master planning efforts, and condition assessments of water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems. Manages projects focusing on pipeline condition assessment and rehabilitation; open cut and trenchless applications; sanitary sewer evaluation surveys (SSES); asset management and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) strategy and implementation; and capacity, management, and operation and maintenance (CMOM) programs. Designs waster distribution systems including water lines, booster pump stations, elevated storage tanks, metering vaults, and other related facilities. Designs wastewater collection systems, including gravity sewers, force mains, lift stations, and related facilities. Performs engineering calculations and hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems. Coordinates with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to obtain permits required to construct and commission water and wastewater infrastructure. Manages projects during the bidding phase to answer questions from bidders and provide recommendations for project award to successful bidders. Provides engineering services during construction for water and wastewater infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Engineering Standards:

Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection Oversees collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis problems and methods Reviews lower level engineering work or assignments Is responsible for one or more of the following:
leading larger production teams; coordinating multiple discipline activity; and serving as the responsible charge for a project Project Coordination:
Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects Client Focus:
Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers on moderately complex projects and may determine the key clients in some instances Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on moderately complex projects May offer other services to the clients Typically provides support to business development or pursuit activities Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:

Administrative responsibilities may include office administration Ensures policies, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented and communicated for workgroup Ensures adherence to corporate and division programs May approve timesheets and expense reports Preferred Qualifications PE (Professional Engineer) license 10
years of civil engineering design services including conceptual planning, preliminary and final design in water and wastewater treatment; master planning; water main; water facilities; pump stations; and conveyance. Experience in pumping systems and process equipment layout. Experience on BIM developed projects Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following:
criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Certifications PE (Professional Engineer) license
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
